Therapeutic Radiation Oncology Physicists

Job Description

Jaeger Corporation is seeking a clinical therapeutic radiation oncology physicist to join our consulting medical physics practice. We are currently hiring for a position based in Des Moines, Iowa. The successful candidate must have a minimum of a master’s degree and is board certified or board eligible.

Experience with some or all of the following equipment is desirable: Varian and Elekta accelerators, Eclipse and Monaco treatment planning systems, Aria and Mosaiq record and verify systems. Physics QA equipment used is primary Sun Nuclear QA equipment, including the 3D cylindrical scanning system.

The successful candidate is expected to work as an integral part of the hospital oncology treatment team as well as communicate with the physics group as a whole. Responsibilities include treatment plan review, weekly chart checks, accelerator and CT sim QA. In addition, continuous quality improvement, implementation of protocols, and commissioning of new equipment are expected with the support of the group. Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are essential.  Some travel to secondary client sites may be required.
